Cast Jewellery

The ancient lost wax casting process is used in small scale for jewellery. The piece is sculpted in wax and then a mold (usually of a kind of plaster) is made of the wax piece. The wax is melted away and then liquid metal is poured into the mold, resulting in an exact (even if slightly smaller) reproduction of the original, now lost, wax carving. Using this method we can obtain many copies, or modules, from an original too.
