A selection of patterns from La Mode Illustrée The "Natural Form" (1876-1881) fashions have been given less attention than other bustled or crinolined Victorian styles, and original patterns are quite hard to come by. Bring back to life the elegance and demure charm of this time period with this selection of patterns. These patterns are exact copies of original pattern plates from the famous parisian magazine "La Mode Illustrée", just as they were provided back in the day, plus a copy of the magazine that accompanies them. Several garments are included in the same sheet, togheter with embroidery diagrams, knitting and crochet instructions, etc. These patterns are a wonderful resource for theatre or costume reproduction. They are one size and you will have to resize and fit them yourself, intermediate to advanced sewing and patterning experience is advised. The pattern copy has its own instructions in French, the magazine is written in French as well. An additional sheet is provided with literal translations to English (Spanish and Catalan translations upon request at no extra charge) At the moment these translations include only garments, not knitting, crochet or embroidery instructions. No further instructions are provided, but you can look for help and share your tips (and of course share your creations!) in the community forums. Enjoy your sewing! Mer |
